A company I am working with has asked me to make some new forms using their database and FileMaker Pro 5. I have made a copy of their database and have loaded FileMaker Pro 5 (EDU) on my PC. The Problem is that when I try to modify the current forms or copy anything it says your password does not enable you to do this or this file is not modifiable. When I click on the drop down menu under File and try to go into Access Privilages - all choices are whited out. At the clients site I have full access and all the passwords but out of the office nothing works. Please help, I am just learning filemaker pro.

Thank You

If you just copy the files from one pc to yours, check the properties of the file (in win explorer f.i.).

Right click on the file and make sure the attributes are set to 'Archive' for all the files.

If the files has a user password with restricted access and you need to enter the 'Admin' password, hold down the shiftkey while clicking on the file, this will bring the password screen to front, where you can enter the master passwprd.
