I currently have 3 G700's in one stack and would like to consolidate all stations/trunks into the first 2 to cut down on maintenance costs. The 3rd G700 that I want to remove is currently showing as the master controller of the stack. Can I remove translations, power down and remove this G700 from the stack and will one of the other 2 G700's automatically assume the role of master controller? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe but probably not. The G700s will work however the underlying P330 Chassis will have issues since in a stacked configuration only one P330 chassis is set with the IP Address. Your stack should have 3 on the top, 2 in the middle, and 1 on the bottom (if installed correctly). Your best bet is to remove the top G700 and leave 1 and 2 in service.
