Anyone out there try to connect a G3si to a S8300 via fiber. We have a portion of our campus that has lost connectivity to the PBX and it is too expensive to run new cable so we have tried to place a S8300 out in the affected area and try to connect back to the G3si via fiber converters. *** G3si > TN464 > media converter > fiber link > media coverter > MM710P >S8300 ***. The general idea was to connect these two and make the S8300 a node, UDP the native stations to the node to supply phone service. Problem is that the TN464/MM710 will not link up with the media converters. Tried a crossover T1 cable and straight thru, no joy. Fiber link is great. What am I missing or is this not possible. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
