G3r carrier power supplies

Greetings all,

Can the power supplies in the B through E carriers be replaced without powering down the entire cabinet? Been awhile since I replaced one.

Also, can the pins in the back of the 630DA1 supply be changed to match the pinout of the 630DB1 and in effect turning a A into a B? A tech I know said that he had done that when he needed a B and only had the A supply available.
