I have a G350 with a few phones on it. IP 9630, digital and Analog. I do not get dialtone when I pick any of them up. I can call between them, but nothing when I go offhook. Is the dialtone internal to the gateway? Is there anything to check in software. I know there is no tone clock as in the older Definity boxes.
Any help is appreciated.

sounds like you don't have the default gateway setup properly on the G350, and on the S8300, and you are comming from a different subnet.

Check your Default Gateway on the G350 and on the S8300 processor.

I verified the default gateways are the same through the command line and the maintenance web page. The keypad tones work, and I can call between the phones but I do not get dialtone when I pick them up.
Any other ideas?

do a "show voip", perhaps your VoIP is not in service, and you might need to reboot your G350. It sounds like you are not getting any VoIP resources, they come frm the built in VoIP module. that also needs to have the proper DefGW etc. do a "show ip route" in the G350 as well.

Also make sure your IP-Network-Map is setup, and point to IP-Network-Region 1, and that you have IP-Network-Region 1 setup with an IP-codec set, and the IP codecd set hgas at least G.711MU in it. Also make sure Media Gateway 1, is assigned to a location, and an IP-Network-Region

We have a similar issue with our G700, except we are not passing DTMF tones between IP hansets. If we use one of the handsets to call a DCP on the same switch we can pass tones both ways. We have tried a different Voip MM and tried various settings, but still no DTMF. Any ideas?

Probably this is a known issue. Please try to update your G350 firmware to the latest version.
