I have a G350 I am installing with S8300 LSP. 4.0

During a failover test I ran into a problem of 1 way talk path over Ground Start Trunks. In failover mode the IP phones register to the S8300 for the call server and then go over the local Ground Start Trunks. When I placed my test calls I noticed that the other party could not hear me but I could hear them fine. If I press a number the other party can hear the tone but it is very distorted.

I have installed over 20 of these for this customer and I have not encountered this issue before.

If the calls are routed over a T-1, which they will unless they are in failover mode, the call works perfect. Only when utilizing the local trunk I get the failure.

I have reset the voip and reset the gateway, list trace on the failed call but the call capture is like a good call. It outpulses the digits call is complete the other party just cannot hear me.

Thank you for any help on this.

Does this appear to be a bad media gateway? I have continued to have the same issue and was wondering if anyone has run into this problem.

Thanks!

One way talk path will be caused by a bad (type O)IP address / subnet mask. Check all the numbers.

Thanks All Phoneman2

Just for reference I had to replace the Gateway and that solved the problem. The Media Gateway enbedded Voip was bad. But thanks Phoneman2 for the reply.
