G250-BRI thinks it's a G250

I have an old G250-BRI that I am trying to get set up as a lab location on my S8300/G700 5.1. Problem is in "show system" on the gateway it thinks its platform type is a G250, not G250-BRI. I can get it to register as a G250 but of course I can't use any of the onboard analog connections because it thinks it's a G250. I installed the latest firmware 30_11_3 with out any success.
Is there a way to tell the G250-BRI it's real platform type?

Thanks!

did you try adding it as a G250-BRI on the"'add media" form?
hit "help" on that form, in the "gateway" field, make sure G250-BRI is shown... if it is, it should work.

That was my first choice. But when I had it set to G250-BRI in the add media the gateway would never register. It was only when I changed it to G250 that it would register up. If I CLI into the gateway and do a show system, it says G250 for its platform type.
I have another G250-BRI that is registered properly. In its show system it correctly shows G250-BRI.
It's like there is a CLI command I need to set its platform type. It's lost it's brains!

Edit..
It's the model number: not the platform type in the show system report.
