just wondering how one goes about entering say a G, I or R into a table and the full word is displayed.
Am working on this relationship table and after entering the infomation into cells, the last cell - the letter is typed in and the word comes up. ie.. G = govenment or I = individual for instance.

Howdy,

Create a lookup in the field (Design View, data type = lookup wizard). When the first letter is typed, Access will check the list and supply the rest of the word

I very much approve of creating lookup tables and using combo boxes on forms. I do not ever use lookup fields defined in tables.
