just wondering how one goes about entering say a G, I or R into a table and the full word is displayed.
Am working on this relationship table and after entering the infomation into cells, the last cell - the letter is typed in and the word comes up. ie.. G = govenment or I = individual for instance.

Howdy,

Create a lookup in the field (Design View, data type = lookup wizard). When the first letter is typed, Access will check the list and supply the rest of the word

Before you start creating lookup fields in table definitions, you might want read I very much approve of creating lookup tables and using combo boxes on forms. I do not ever use lookup fields defined in tables.
