Looking at connecting an IPO406 in London via an
Adtran router to a Lucent Ledgend in the States.

The Adtran ESU 120e provides a G.703 120ohm Db15 connection.

Will the IPO support this and how?

Please Help

The G.703 is actually the connection between the adtrans (2M unstructured point to point circuit). The DB15 interface will connect to the WAN port on the back of the IP Office and will probably either be v.35 or x.21 (the adtran can probably be set to either). You will need the correct cable, the required pinouts are in the IP Office docs CD.

How are you planning to interface with the legend? VoIP gateway?

Peter

No idea as not yet sure what the legend supports?

Am i right in saying the Adtran will only give me a voip connection and not a q-sig connection?

If this is the case i can just connect onto the Lan instead with a VCM module?

That is my understanding, however I could be wrong as I have not checked out that particular model of adtran. In any case if you have a good quality WAN already with adequate bandwidth/QoS why not go IPO w/VCM -> WAN -> Multitech MultiVoIP -> CO Ports/Analog Station Ports on Legend? It works great, subject to the VoIP characteristics of your WAN. I've done this for a national customer with an obscene amount of bandwidth and good QoS and couldn't ask for a better setup (unless of course they replaced the magix with another IPO *grin*)
