There is an issue with CLASS telephones and message waiting lights from 3.0 thru 5.0 and requires a PI patch to fix. The patch number is P16506. It has already been written for 3.0, 4.0 and 4.5 but it may still need to be written for 5.0. This also requires Nortel approval to be released.
Ran into this because of our upgrade Monday morning at a very very large hotel. Largest non gaming convention center in the US under 1 roof. Over 2800 rooms.
For those of you that don't know, CLASS phones are just analog sets that are programmed to display caller id just like at home. This requires additional hardware and software packages to work, so don't ask me how to turn it on. Most PBX's do not have this capability.
