FXS not clearing down

hello i have got a 2811 with 4fxs

after use the ports will not clear down and have to be shut then no shut

i know there is a command for this but cannot find it or remember it so any help i would be very greatful

Glennmitel,

You may already have the answer to this question but to shut, no shut the ports you'll need to go to the voice port you would like to complete this at.

Log into router

config t
voice-p 0/2/3 (Or whichever fxs port you need to bounce)
shut
no shut

Is disconnect acknoldgment setup on the port? This will return an acknowledgment once the disconnect signal has been received. This may elliminate the need to complete the constant shut no shut.

voice-p 0/2/3 (Or whichever fxs port you need to bounce)
disconnect-ack
no disconnect-ack to remove

On the lines connected to the FXO ports make sure you have what we call CO disconect, which releases the line after you hang up... Call your Telco provider to verify!!!!!
