I am trying to connect an FXS loop start interface from our VoIP Gateway to the MD100 trunk interface and the PBX doesn't see us connected! We provide -44V DC to the interface with 17mA loop current and we work OK with other PBX manufacturers but not the MD100. Does it have any special signalling protocol on the trunk interface or is it a standard loop start interface?

FXS? What's that? But anyway, a loop start with -44v/17mA
should be OK. Depends on your VAR parameters, without them it's quite difficult to tell anything. Which board type?
One example which definitely works with loop start and 48VDC (VARI and VARC only) VARC=00000312, VARI=00000508, but this isn't the only one, so if anybody has better ideas, please....
