Anyone have experience using Fuzzy Lookup in SQL Server 2005 Integration Services? Is there a standard to use to return reasonable matches? I'm wading through 250,000 rows, the great majority of which are too 'fuzzy'. I've got a lot of partial word matches, of, inc., and, the...

What about confidence or similarity numbers? Is there a threshold below which the match will be too 'fuzzy'?

Any help appreciated.
 
I've used fuzzy grouping. I believe you will get much better results when you include additional fields in your matching logic such as zip code, state, city, etc. So, you will be matching on several fields instead of just one.
 
Thanks, that makes sense. But in this case, I don't have another field to ouse.
