Before I tell you my problem here is what my layout looks like:

Now what you see is the tabbed view. Above this is an area that show the goals, due date, and some other info for each sample. On the bottom (what you see) it is set up so you can have multiple samples on one record. When I set up the buttons and all the same information would just be repeated in each layout. What can I do to ensure that what I click on that sample's tab that a new blank area will show up while the top of the page continues to show the overall sample information which I listed earlier.

Do I need to make a new field for each sample? Sometimes only 4 samples are made so they will be left blank.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks

First - for each tab view you should have a different layout designed. Then on each layout you can keep the dame header information.

If the the tab information is to be kept in the same file - then yes - you want to have fields defined for each tab set. You would place these fields on the layout for each tab.

If you need more info - post it here.

Another small question:

As you can see form the picture above I placed a check box field to identify which ingredient is the active ingredient in the formulation.

I want to be able to single out this active ingredient so as to print it on a label but not create an entire new field for it.

Is there some script that can help single it out?

To clerify what I wrote above -

I want to be able to identify which sample the active ingredient that worked is from as well as to carry all he information from the row.
