Further Cognos Development ?

I am working with Impromptu for three years now. Every fiscal year change my crosstab reports are ruined, because of new columns. The new columns are not formatted the way the old are. Further on several totals disappeared.
If you only have one or two such crosstab reports to change, it is not a problem. In my case I have to handle around 30 reports with these errors.

Support does not know any solution so far. Anybody here who knows if Cognos is enhancing Impromptu?
