I have a query database (importing data from approach) that runs fine on office 2000, but if I run it on Office XP or 2003, funny characters get populated into the memo field. (ì followed by a square(return?))

In 2000 it is a different character, which when printed, does not show, but the ì and square produce a MU symbol followed by a new line.

I am assuming that this is some sort of language thing, but can anyone point me in the right direction?

Are your Access 2000 and Access XP versions running on the same machine? If not it may be that the machine Access XP is running on is missing the font you use in Access 2000.

That would be my first guess.

Thanks. I actually discovered that the PC I was running it on with office 2000 was set up with Greek as the regional default!!!! I have now resolved this.

Thanks for your reply
