Funky Colors in my Control Panel

OK boys and girls,

I know you can help me with this. My son's computer has been acting up in the sense that when he goes to access any page on the internet it whats him to download the page rather than populate the browser. After entering his Add/Remove programs module I noticed that just after the porgrams starting with"E" a series of multi colored verticle rectangles appeared.
as you scroll through, the rectangles interpopulate until they reach the center, then continue in
reverse order until i reach the programs starting in the letters "EN". I have include a Hijackthis log.

Also download avg anti spyware from the link below. Open it up, choose scanner, settings, then set default action for detected malware to delete. Run a complete system scan

I too have funky colors (sometimes even completely black) in add/remove programs. Last normal listing is for a "D" en after all the weird stuff, goes on at "E". So that seems to be the same place.

Otherwise, no problems whatsoever. I am not suspecting virus or spyware.

After playing with CCleaner, my problem is now solved. I don't know exactly what is was that solved it. I guess some uninstall entries that were faulty. I did repair some.
