Hi,
1)WHat are the functions available in Microstrategy?
2)What are loops available in Microstrategy?
3) How can we use Aliases in Mstr7?
4)How can we write Database queries, where we will get this query editor?
5) How you will avoide the duplicate data in reports?

Kavira, some quick answers, but you should download their free eval to try it out.

1) everything in excel (math, stats and financial) and more (running olaps, deciling, ntiling etc)
2) not sure what you mean by loops
3) in column headers and tables in db
4) MicroStrategy provides a dynamic query generator. Its value is that developers don't have to maintain hundreds of sql statements for each report. So, there's no way to "write your own SQL", but you can tweak the way SQL is generated using the VLDB switches.
5) there shouldn't be any duplicate data in your reports unless you have M:M relationships, in which case you just need to model it in the Architect tool.
