Functionality between Office and Cognos

What kind of functionality I find between office and cognos? I know that I can pass information to an Excel format from cognos. Is there something else?

You can also use the Excel add-in so that cubes can be opened and manipulated within Excel.
If you have Upfront, you can access Word and Excel files from within the browser. This is probably continued in Cognos8/ReportNet.
