Hello,

I'd like to ask you if there is a function that can be started when someone closes the browser or go to another page...

I need to measure the time the flash was functioning on the site and I believe that this function would help me to measure it...

Thanks

Flash is a client side application. When the browser window is closed so is Flash. So you would not be able to execute anything from Flash if it is not currently being displayed in the browser.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

Sure, but flash has to know that the window is closed. Some onClose function or something like that...

I made flash application which works with flashcom server (media server now) and when I closed the window, flashcom server knows that I disconnect this client immediately...

using a shared object would automaticaly sent a var when the app is killed or lost focus.

you could modify the code for your own purposes, but bare in mind it goes onto all users viewing the site. not that they would know anyway :)

I do this for various apps, and browser controll.

Ps, it's esier to get/sent a JS code with the onClose action to it.

cheers
