Hi,
I have been trying to figure this one out for a long time and about getting ready to through my linux box out of the Window !!!! please HELP !!!
I have an application that I connect to via telnet. This application requires the use of Function keys within the telnet window to perform different tasks. I have been tring to Map my Function keys to produce strings with no luck what so ever.
I tried Dumpkeys / loadkeys, terminfo, and every other procedure I found on the Internet and still does not work. When I try to load my custom keymap, the system does not show any errors but yet it does not take the changes. if i do a dumpkeys, it shows the original table as if it did not load the custom one.
Please help, if someone can tell me how to make the F8 key produce the string "^[F8"
Thanks
