I'm using photoshop 6 mainly for batching a few thousand images (not at once). in a nutshell i need to find all the white in each image and make it transparent.. so far i have the automation fixed to open the image, covnert to rgb, perform one transparent fill ((in the corner) which is insufficient because it doesnt fill most of the image some of the time), then save it to the desired folder.. So is it possible to scan each image for each occurence off 255 color and turn it transparent with the fill tool ??

Fill transparent? what's that? That's new to me.

Anyway, it seems relatively simple. I tried it with 2 images and was successful at it. First I turn the background into a layer. Then what I did was select the white via "color range", set fuzziness to whatever you want and delete to achieve the transparency. It actually picks up all the white like i wanted it on my images.

Good luck.
