Fulltext search - finding words

i`m having the problem to show resulting records with their hits highlighted.
That works very well, if the hits are exact matches, but not with different word-forms found with "FORMSOF"

i know that there is n ISAPI provided by Microsoft (belonging to index searver) that does highlighting, so there must be a way to find the matching words.

any ideas?
