I have a big problem,

i have a lot of 3Com Etherlink XL900B-FL-(ST) NICs ( 10BaseFL)

i connect them to an 24 Port Cisco 10BaseFL Switching module

now my problem
if i am connected with halfduplex, all is OK
if i am connected with fullduplex, a filetransfer is 3 times SLOWER than with halfduplex

both sides are right configured and i have no errors on the ports

SW of hte NIC are the newest i get

Thanks for good ideas

Full duplex is very rare (but still desirable) on 10 meg gear. Slow speed sure sounds as if one side is staying Half, but you would expect late collisons if it were so. have you tried timing the hub at half but the NIC at Full, if that equals the all half senario, then the NICs are not REALLY changing.

Searching for 3C900B-FL(ST) i find the latest drivers are etherCD 5.4, it sure sounds as if it supports full duplex but warns you have to set the media manually if you set duplex. (10baseFL) I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
