Full Text Search Not showing results

Hi Everyone,

I am having trouble getting Full Text Search to work on on my SharePoint Server. I have envoked FTS via the Central Admin menu and my indexes have been succesfully populated. I can select data against the indexes via SQL Query Analyser using the 'WHERE CONTAINS' command and the data is retrieved as expected. However if I use the same criteria to search my SharePoint site my search results bring back nothing.
Has anyone got any ideas what might be wrong?

Hello,

Have you checked that full text search is also turned on in SQL and on the databases? I recall that I had this kind of problems a long time ago with my WSS sites and it turned out that the fulltext search was not working in SQL so I had to reset it and re-populate the index in SQL

FYI

I solved my problem in the end by re-booting my SharePoint application server and Full Text Search works perfectly now.
