Full System Scan Completes in Only 10 Minutes Or Less

I recently noticed that the NAV full system scan of my local C: drive is taking less than 10 mins to complete a full scan of over 65,000+ files. It used to take close to an hour to run a full system scan.

I am hoping that someone may have something like this occur to them in the past and could offer me a few pointers.

I keep my AV virus signatures updated daily and I run complete virus scans weekly. Therefore, I don't suspect it is a virus that is preventing the full system scan from running its full course.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
