Hi,
is it possible to do a full system restoration without installing the OS and veritas software?
thanks

if you have been using BE 8.6 and have been targetting the backups to disk you can import the *.BKF file and use Ntbackup to restore the data, if that answers your question ?

Cheers

The best way to do a full system recovery without having to install the OS & Backup Exec is to use the IDR (intelligent disaster recovery) option. This allows you to recover a bare metal box to back to an original working state. All you need to do the recovery is a few floppy disks and your last complete backup.

Checkout the Veritas site - theres heaps of helpful info there (use the knowledge batabase)

Cheers
