Hi I'm working at a university that has a lot of web sites and we're looking for a web tool (free scripts would be great) that:

1. Automatically parses thousands of html pages, and validates links
2. Lists the last-modified date for each page(so we can see if anyone's actually touched the site in a while)

Scripts we can use on our linux servers would be great, and I've already had success finding a good GUI that does this by Lithops Software, but the powers that be want a script they can run off the server.
