I want to be able to manipulate the outbound CLI and have been told we need to implement "CLI Type 5". We also have to be presenting "Full ETSI". I do not have that option on my dialler (Concerto EnsemblePro).
There is a NET5, EuroISDN option. Wil this do?

Euroisdn is ETSI (ISDNe)

I don't think you can change the CLI as this is provided by the carrier and it may be illegal to present a false cli (it is in financial trading).

E.g If you are located in London and want the called party to think you are in paris, I think this not allowed by ofcom.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Thanks BigL,

It is okay to change the CLI to identify who called a customer. We are not trying to dupe the customers into thinking we are in Paris (by using EuroDISNey!), but giving out a different CLI for each campaign so that if they call back they get the correct department.

This is in fact an Ofcom requirement for call centres that dial on behalf of more than one client.

You'll need to work with your equipment vendor.

Even if they send it the network may or may not substitute their own in place.

I can't recall, but I think NET5 is something else entirely, but my memory is too hazy to say much for sure! Again, your vendor should know this.

Good luck.

In the Gateway config you have the option to send out the CLI based on which service the agent is dialling out from. It just depends of your network provider supports this.

I can't remember exactly where, but if you have a look. If not let me know and I will try and find it for you (Unfortunately not working on Ensemble Pro at the moment

It depends on which Telco you are using. I know from past experience that some areas on the NTL platform do not support this.

The other option is to have set circuits which sent out a different CLI (If you have enough circuits) and assosiate these with each service.

If you post a protocol trace of an outbound call it is fairly easy to see what number is in the "calling Party address" IE. You also need to check the presentation bits.

good luck.
