Hi there,

I was wondering if it was possible for a mail recipient to see my full e-mail address appear in their inbox rather than just my name? I am on Outlook 2003 with our server running exchange 2003 whilst the recipient in question is Oulook 2003 with Exchange 2000.

Any help much appreciated
Thanks

You have no control over how a recipient displays your mail in THEIR Outlook, that is up to their settings.

Thanks for the reply,

Okay then so how would I adjust my settings in outlook for my inbox to show the senders full e-mail address.

The problem is, my client wants people he sends mail to, to see the address "sales@domain.co.uk" in the recipient's inbox rather than just "Sales" so that the recipient does not mistake it for junk or spam mail.

Kind Regards
Boaber

That's a lost battle, as Marc says. You can't control the recipient's client.

Okay then so like I said before,

"Okay then so how would I adjust MY settings in outlook for MY inbox to show the SENDERS full e-mail address?"

Kind Regards

You can't do it AFAIK. But a) Email addresses are as easy to spoof as email names and b) If this client is so worried, why not get a decent anti spam product?
