What version of Solaris? Do you have the environmental variables set to test all components on boot? Do you have sunvts installed (/opt/SUNWvts)?
#setenv TERM=vt100
#export TERM
#cd /opt/SUNWvts/bin
#./sunvts
Assuming you want to test hardware and SUN VTS is installed...this will tax the cpu, also...
