Client has central Fujitsu system. At two remote sites they have Avaya Partner ACS6 systems deployed. They have OCS circuits on the Toshiba offering off-premise extensions to the remote Partner systems but Caller ID info is not passed. Why? Any input is appreciated in advance. Thank you.

SHIM?!?!?!

2 things come to mind:

On the Toshiba, does it receive caller id?

If it does, you are trying to pass caller id from a trunk to another "trunk" that the Partner systems are connected by. I am assuming they are connected to line ports. What kind of card are they plugged into?

I just got this handed to me and I have not spoked directly with the Customer yet. This was funnelled down through Sales.

The main site has a Fujitsu and the other two sites have Partner ACS's 6.0. The sites are connected via "OSNC" lines, which are basically OPX lines based on what the contact tells me. The caller ID is not being passed to the Partner Systems. She does have some other locations that are also getting dial-tone from the main Fujitsu, but they have smaller Fujitsu's at those locations and they ARE receiveing Caller ID. Any ideas why the Partner's are not gettng Caller ID? thx

they are not fujitsus!!!! Plain and simple.

No really. Can you hook and S/L telset to one of the lines and see if the caller id is being passed that way? I know that is the layman's way, but y'know what I'm sayin'?

Well Naperguy1,
That will answer the question once & for all, won't it? That is an excellent idea at this point. Also check that the call isn't being answered too quickly on the Partner systems.

i don't think the Partner will pass any caller-id info to any devices other than those in the Partner series....ie 18D....MLS....

maybe i'm wrong.....=P

No, the Partner does not pass caller ID on the first pair, it is stripped out and sent on the data pair. IP Office does send caller ID though.
