Does anyone know if there is anything out there that will allow someone to attach a serial to usb adapter to a Fujitsu 9600 VS to save a copy of the configuration to? There is another institution in our state DRC that has a failing hard drive on a 9600 VS and being able to save the config so that it could be printed or even just accessed so that when we go to install a new Avaya 450 we could be ahead of the game with knowing where everything is punched down! Also would be great in case we did manage to find a HD to throw in this thing to keep it going for awhile longer! Just wondering!

The only options are:
1. Use the on-board floppy drives, with FACOM formatted floppy disks.
2. if you have multiple hard-drives, you can install the hardware to use a removable hard-drive. Every time you remove install the removable hard-drive, the system copies from the active drive to the newly installed drive, giving you a fresh backup drive.

We've asked the same question about hard-drive backup of Altura, the company that supports the F9600 platform, and were told that there is no option for backing up to a USB flash-drive. If only life were that simple.
