FTPING From AIX to AS400

I am trying to FTP from AIX server to and AS400 and have having difficulty with the syntax.

Can anybody see anything funny here .

AIX -server ff_dbase_srv_03
fpirl2 - host name of AS400


Seems to be picking up root all the time as the userid . No entries in the /.netrc file at all .

Anybody seen this ??

You might need the -n switch as well to prevent it prompting for a user ID.

Also, (unless this version of FTP is quite different to what I'm used to) usually there is no 'password' command, but you specify it as follows:

[tt]user itsograg dublin25[/tt] Annihilannic.
