ftpd(####) failed dlopen: /usr/lib/libpag.a(shr.o)

Hi,

On AIX 4.3.3 ML8 we get the following error:

<hostname> ftpd(####) failed dlopen: /usr/lib/libpag.a(shr.o) a file or directory in the path name does not exist.

Where #### is a random number.

This will scroll about 10 or 15 times and then pause about 15 or 20 seconds and then do it again. If you stop the tcpip daemons it stops.

what version of ftpd do you have, because there is no reference to that archive in normal ftpd ? just type
dump -Hv /etc/ftpd
to see if you have that lib in it, and
lslpp -w /usr/sbin/ftpd to see what fileset brings your ftpd
(is /etc/ftpd a link to /usr/sbin/ftpd ?)
