FTP to OS390

We are having slow transfer rates when FTPing to and from our AIX IBM H50 to/from our MainFrame.

When we run tests between the same AIX boxes and NT servers and other AIX servers, it is extremly fast.

We have been exploring the network, but has anyone experienced similar problems? Any Ideas?

Is your mainframe adapter set to full duplex? the Switch ports?

I see where you are going. We have had problems on our servers when the adapter is hard coded to 100 full and the switch is set to auto-neg.

I know they are running 100 full, but will have to find out if it is auto on both sides.....

IBM recommends setting ALL NIC/switch ports to a hard-coded value not auto-neg. Especially if you are using cisco hardware. They don't play nice.
