Dear All

We have Redhat Linux 9 in our office , configured transparend squid and FTP servers in that pc, our client pc's are windows XP. Our client pc's are accessing web through squid proxy. Sameway we want to access the ftp server through Proxy. Can you pls. tell me wat are all the changes i need to make to work.

Also let me know basic copy , paste & find commands in vi editors.

Regards
Sakthi

exactly, Irudeboy suggested a valid solution, try redirecting port 21.

I am honestly not sure if it will work as FTP is known for weird behavior (example: you can tunnel all protocols but FTP) but that is the first thing that comes to my mind.

If I could have sex each time I reboot my server, I would definitely prefer Windoz over Linux!

All proxy-able protocols work with squid; HTTP, HTTPS, FTP (Active and Passive) and many more. I didn't do much configuring except for blocking sites based on MIME types and URL's.

Have Fun!
