When I try to run my package that has FTP task I get the following:
[Connection manager "FTP Connection Manager"] Error: An error occurred in the requested FTP operation. Detailed error description: The password was not allowed .

I set the password in FTP connection manager (my double clicking it) and in Properties screen. For some reason after I open FTP Connection Manager the password does nto "stick". Any ideas?

thanks

Passwords don't stick in any of the tasks if you open them up for edit. However, if you've chosen a "Save Password", it'll save it and run it as long as you're not editing the task in question. (BTW, this is a deliberate security measure to make sure someone can't copy-n-paste the pwd from an SSIS package and use it in another SSIS package).

Verify with the FTP people that you actually are using the correct FTP Server Name, Login Name and password. Verify case especially. UNIX, for instance, is case sensitive for both Login & PWD.
