Morning Gang,

I have an FTP site on an Intranet that I want to attach using my already existing template. To be more specific, think about when you normally go to an FTP site. It's very archaic looking. I want to "wrap" that in my html template. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I don't think that's possible. The look you see when you ftp to a site depends on the ftp program you're using. If you just want to allow downloads and not uploads of those files that are on the ftp site, just create a web page with links to the files.

Thanks, I figured that much. This is probably something I can handle with a db.

The reason you can't do this is because HTML can't communicate with the serve in the way that FTP can. The HTML page is "delivered" to the browser and that's where it stops. You can probably do something with ASP, PHP, or Perl, but it would still be an HTML page and the interactivity you're looking for would be missing.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
