This is all on a clean machine, clean install. Router has RDP, email, http and ftp ports opened and directed to correct servers. I have installed 2000 Server, installed Active Directory, installed Exchange 2003, and the latest service packs for all. I have created exactly 2 users in Active Directory and both are administrators. I have a very simple web site on the server, as well as an extensive FTP site. I also want to be able to access the exchange server using the internet.
Now, from an outside location I can ping my domain name and it returns the correct IP and responds. I can access the FTP site and copy down or upload files. These things lead me to believe that the DNS and routing is set up correctly. However, when I try to access the web site or the exchange server I get the standard IE dnserror page. From a location on my network, I can view the web page and access the exchange server web page.
This is a very small network with 2 servers and 3 work stations. One server is a Terminal Server, which I can also access from an outside location. The other server is the one I am talking about, running Web, FTP, and Exchange. I run DHCP on my router so I can use my internet access for my son's xbox 360.
Sorry for the book, but I wanted to provide all the information I could think of. I would be grateful if someone could offer up some ideas.

You need to open up ports 80 and 443 on the firewall.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Thanks, but both of those ports are open and forwarding to the correct IP address.

OK, within IIS do you have the site using "all addresses" or have you specified the IP to listen on? What account is used for anonymous access?

I hope you find this post helpful.
