We are having problems on an AIX box with FTP sessions disconnecting and discovered that the firewall is detecting the FTP bounce signature (thinking that there is an FTP attack), and killing the FTP sessions. I was advised to use scp but it is not available on our AIX box. Any suggestions?

Thanks

OpenSSH is available on your expansion pack cd

Did you try the rcp! You don't need to use the scp if you don't have to! scp is more secure than rcp but if you were using the ftp then i would suggest using the rcp!

You need to put the source host name in the .rhosts of the user home directory on the destination server for the rcp to work!
