FTP server access 1

I have an Progress 9.1D application that needs to read from and write to an FTP server. I have been provided with the username and password. Any ideas on how to use code this ?

based on os you can use the os-command, dos or unix statement.

Hi Longhair - thanks for the reply - but I still don't know which DOS statement to use to access the FTP server with the Login and password that has been provided to me.

so the question at the moment is more shell commands then progress?
click start, then help. in the seachbox type 'ftp'. when the search is over you can click on the links for ftp & ftp subcommands
