Hi.

My friend needs to send me some files from her PC to my PC.
I would like to do this using FTP.

Does anyone know how I can do this?
I currently have WSFTP.

Thanks for reading.
If I’m in the wrong forum then just let me know :)

Thanks.
Jenny

Don't know how to do it with FTP, but I know you can do it with MSN Messenger. Messenger is the best way to send files to my friends I find. No limit to size, and it goes directly to your computer. You need a hotmail account to do this.

I fyou don't ahve MSN Messenger then download it from:

This is one way to do it. There are others I just don't know them. [deejay]

Hi Dell.
Yeah, I have MSN. You can't send multiple files in one shot. That's what I'm looking for here.

Thanks anyhow :)

Put all your files into one .zip file then send the one zip file. Yeah, it is too bad that msn can't send more than one file at a time. Oh well. The zip file will though.

Sorry to add one extra step to this process (the .zip file) but I would like to know how to use an FTP program myself to do this.

Does any one know if you can use CuteFTP to do what JennyW wants to do? I'd like to know. [deejay]

Hi Dell.
The zip file is definitely a short cut. It's a good idea as a last resort, but like you now, I still want to learn how to transfer files PC <--> PC using FTP.

Thanks.

Hi Jenny,

Whatever computer has the files on it needs to have a FTP server installed and running..

Go to and you should find loads there..

One I know of for Windows is Niteserver.. It`s free & easy to use..

Make sure that for security you password protect the server though..

If you need any more help, just ask..

Hope this helps Wullie

I searched for Niteserver at Download.com and it couldn't find it. [deejay]
