Ok Guys, I've got a ringer. As in i'm stuck in a loop.

Well I have been working on bringing my website from GoDaddy to my Windows 2003 Server. I have the IP changed. The name servers have updated but I can't change them for like 24 hours.

My issue is this. If I got to my local address ftp://10.222.0.51 i can login but if I got to the outside address it wont let me login. It comes up as a login and every user that works locally doesn't work. Error 530 - user cannot login.

Any ideas??

More info is needed. What kind of infrastructure is in place, router, firewall, DMZ? Are you inside trying to access the outside or outside trying to access the outside? You using the correct outside IP?

It goes cable modem, firewall, switch then to all the computers.

The firewall is set to forward ports 21, 80, and 53 to 10.222.0.51 (the server).

I am inside trying to access the server via the outside IP. The outside IP has been verified.

I can login inside with the local IP of the server. The websites work on the local server it just wont allow me to do FTP.

I have cleared the check box to allow anonymous connections and set the permission of a group called Website_Users to have full rights to the FTP.

Now it's not letting anyone connect local or outside.

I worked passed that issue. It was a password conflict. The error showing now only on remote access is

425 Can't Open Data Connection

Well if i set filezilla to active it works on port 20 and 21 but passive doesn't I figure that is my problem.

Does anyone know what IPs to setup for passive? I know its random above a certain point.

Or I could just setup FileZilla to work.

Any ideas on that matter?

I am inside trying to access the server via the outside IP.

Part of your problem is, that wont work, must be outside to test outside access.
