I am going to start here and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a simple stand alone FTP exe program for my users. This would be one they wouldn't need to install just down load and run.

ftp client or server?

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

Just the client I already have the server running.

Windows provides a basic cli version, for a gui version I use Winscp

Internet Explorer can be a FTP client.

I would recommend FileZilla. There is a portable version available here:

Thanks all! I do agree on Firefox but I have 4 locations in different states and about 200 pc so that install would take time. As for IE it can be clumsy but will look into the other option.

I have used WinSCP in the past which does FTP, SFTP and SCP and it's free.

The cli version ftp.exe is included in Windows so you wouldn't need to install it.
