Hi,

Everyone knows if ftp has some limitation in the number of files. I executed the ftp command from a Windows 2000 server to an AIX server and then I use the get command to get the files, but when I have gotten 10000 files the command stop without any error message.

Thnaks in advance for your help. Bye.

Well looks like when you issue a "rm *" command in a directory with thousands of file.
Sometimes you get a "list too long error".
Try to mget files in more chuncks

To explain the error sbix stated. In AIX 5.2 you can increase the # of arguments

smit chgsys
ARG/ENV list size in 4K byte blocks = Set to bigger

See if it has an effect w/ FTP ????
