Does anyone know how to upload a file to the BCM using ftp?
If possible can you list step by step. Thanks.

Start the FTP service, either from command line (net start msftpsvc), or from UM Service Manager.

Once it's started, you can FTP to the system using the login name/password that you use to connect to the UM.

Files go to e:\ftproot

Just curious, what are you uploading to the system?

There is an application that Nortel gave me called cleanevents to clean out the logs on the BCM.

I started the ftp service, but how do I get to the point of entering my username and password?

I think I figured that part out. I launched from my browser ftp"\\<IP Address of BCM> and I got a username and password box. Then it opened it up and I copy and pasted the application file into it. Now my question is how do I launch it? Nortel is telling me that I have to launch it from the C drive.

Use Putty (available via the Download Clients link) and SSH into the system. After you log in, go to Option 7 (command line). From there, use DOS commands to copy the cleanevents.exe file from e:\ftproot to a directory on the C: drive.
