I am running Wuftp I think, its whatever came standard in redhat 7.2 . I want to add ftp users so for instance if I wanted to give my buddies 2 ftp accounts. however I dont want them to be able to go higher than their home directories.. I have read what everyone has said about editing the passwd file.. but it doesnt seem to work .. any ideas?? also how can I make it so they dont have the right to delete from their home dirs?? Please help thanks

/etc/ftpchroot - this will keep them from moving out of their home directory.

chmod the files that you do not want them to be able to delete.

Hope this helps.
