Runing 10.2.8. Why can't OSX upload when connected to FTP

Has anyone found any solutions for this? Does anyone know if we will be able to obtain Read/Write access to FTP drive mounts in 10.4?

Are you trying to use Safari and/or IE ?

I've had problems with this and it's apparently to do with using passive or active connections.

I've ended up using a FTP client on all my OS X machines. is free but requests a donation is you like it.

Hope this helps.

I mean (and I assumed rrsub also meant) that when you connect to and mount an FTP server on your desktop using OSX, you only have read access. You cannot write to the FTP server.

While I already use CyberDuck, it would be nice if Apple took their 'connect to server' function a bit farther to allow writing to external FTP servers when authenticated.
