Hi

I have two separate folders on a webserver with differing FTP Login details.

I am accessing these folders through an IE6 Web Browser.

However, when I try to access the 2nd folder - IE seems to automatically Login to the first folder.

I know that both folders login details are fine, because I have tested with SmartFTP.

Any ideas on how to stop IE remembering the first folder login details?

Good question. I'm not sure if there's an answer to this one (I'll keep my eyes open), but in the meantime, you could create 2 shortcuts or links for the two folders in the format: ftp://username@servername then you will be prompted for the password & logged into the correct folder.

You might want to see if this has any effect:

Tools, Internet Options, Security tab, in the Internet Zone, Custom Level button, at the bottom User Authentication, Logon, change to 'Prompt for....'

Let us know if that does it.

That may also have adverse effects on web sites require logon by methods other than cookies.
